Originally from Essex Fells, New Jersey, Scott fell in love with the game at an early age and began playing competitive golf at just nine years old. Scott had much success on the local and national level as a junior which led to him being heavily recruited by many division 1 programs. He ultimately decided to attend Columbia University in New York City. As a Lion, Scott was a four year starter, team captain and was named MVP his senior year.

After school, Scott decided to turn professional and chase his dream of playing for a living. He quickly began to realize that while he loved competitive golf, teaching was his passion. Scott began working at Hamilton Farm Golf Club where he was mentored by Top 100 Instructor Mike Adams. While working for Adams, Scott was exposed to some of the best teachers in the game, including Brian Mogg, Chuck Cook, Craig Farnsworth, David Edel, Jason Carbone, Mike Bennett, David Orr and Mark Sweeney.

Scott’s teaching began to thrive after taking a position at the prestigious Plainfield Country Club (Host of the 2011 Barclays). At Plainfield, Scott’s students ranged from complete beginners to weekend warriors to touring professionals. Currently, Scott teaches at Baltusrol Golf Club, home of the 2016 PGA Championship.

Scott is a Class A PGA Professional, Senior AimPoint Instructor, BioSwing Dynamics Certified, NG360 Movement Specialist, Edel Master Fitter, Flagstick Certified Putting Coach and Richie 3Jack D-Plane Certified. He continues to play tournament golf by competing in various PGA events. Scott has won seven NJAPGA events since turning professional and in 2009 captured the NJPGA Pro-Scratch after a career tournament low 65.
